Falke will focus on training workers and modernizing the machinery for the production of socks in Leskovac until the end of this year, and it plans to increase the number of employees by 5% in the second half of 2017, announced the general manager of Falke Serbia, Thomas Krueger.

The Falke factory in Leskovac currently employs over 700 people. This means that, according to the management's plans, the company will hire an additional 35 workers next year.

Krueger said that he was proud of how much the company had invested in training its workers.

– It's an invaluable thing. In Falke's line of business, the most important thing is for the employees to be properly educated. One can't put a price on investing in people – he said.

He added that, according to the agreement with the Government of Serbia, Falke had never been obliged to keep the workers employed for a set number of years, but that it was obliged to hire a definite number of workers.

The mayor of Leskovac, Goran Cvetanovic, said that Falke was a serious and responsible factory and that it was reflected in the fact that they paid the salaries and all the obligations towards the state regularly.

The company opened the Leskovac factory in 2012. The factory produces up to 15 million pairs of socks and pantyhose a year.
