Completion of Part of Road from Sremska Raca to Kuzmin by Year-End – Integrated Border Crossing in Raca to Be Put Into Operation in 2025

By the end of the year, Serbia will finish its part of the road from Sremska Raca to Kuzmin, a section 19 kilometers long, said the minister of construction, transport and infrastructure of Serbia, Goran Vesic, during his meeting with the minister of communications and transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forto, according to the website of the Government of Serbia.

– An integrated border crossing of BiH and Serbia will be built in Raca and it will be put into operation in 2025, and BiH is also expected to complete its part of the road – he explained and added that the construction of the Pozega-Kotroman highway, where over 85% of the project had been completed, was being planned as well.

At the meeting, there was talk about the strengthening of road and rail connections, which, as estimated, would strengthen the relations of Serbia and BiH, but also about border crossing, the Sabac-Zvornik-Loznica railroad, the Pozega-Kotroman highway, the airport in Trebinje and about joint toll collection.

– Together with Serbia, we will apply for funds with the European Union for the railroad from Banjaluka through Doboj to Serbia – Forto said and pointed out that everybody in the region needed to concentrate on connecting, adding that transportation infrastructure was a means of getting closer to the EU as well.
