Cadez: Quantum leap in cooperation of Serbia and China through Alliance of Ideas

Marko Cadez, the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS), emphasized in an interview for China Media Group (CMG) the importance of strategic cooperation with China as crucial to the economic progress of Serbia and the wider region and the importance of linking the ideas and technologies of all the member-states of the Alliance of Chambers of Commerce for the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (ILSTC).

Cadez explains that, at the round table marking the establishment of ILSTC, which connects western China with the countries of Southeast Asia and Europe, in the Chinese city of Chongqing, he proposed the establishment of an “Alliance of Ideas” platform to connect all countries along the ILSTC corridor through technology, innovation, and knowledge exchange, the CCIS reports.

He believes that this initiative would connect the markets of western China, Southeast Asia and Europe, and he identifies high-tech centers in Chongqing, Guangxi and countries such as Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Serbia and others as key points for the exchange of innovations in this effort. According to him, the aim is to combine the resources and enable investments in innovations and startups.
