New tax categories are available for demonstration: S10, S20, AE10 and AE20, along with the matching codes for the application of the tax categories for all electronic invoices (an invoice, an advance invoice, a document on an increase and a document on a decrease), for both the users which access SEF through the user interface and those which access it through the app interface.
Also, the possibility of the users of the system setting their status in the sense of the Law on the Value Added Tax – whether they are VAT payers or not, and setting the taxation period, if they are VAT payers, has been provided.
– Among the most important upgrades of the SEF 3.9 version are the changes which pertain to the integration with the system of the Customs Administration and the possibility of entering several banking accounts on the subject’s profile, as well as displaying the NBS IPS QR code on the generated external display of the invoice (PDF) – the press release says.
In line with the practice so far, as added, the updated Internal Technical Guide has been published as well, containing all the necessary explanations and technical specifications of the changes implemented in the system. The upgrades to the Internal Technical Guide do not differ in content from the previously published documents based on which the users and producers of software adapted their programs. Also, the “User Guide” document has been published, following the implementation of the functionalities of the Individual and Sum VAT Records.
Let us remind that the Rulebook on Amendments to the Rulebook on Electronic Invoicing was adopted and published on August 2, 2024, in the “Official Gazette” no. 65/24, to start being implemented from September 1, except for the stipulations which pertain to the electronic records of the previous taxes (it will apply to the tax periods which begin after August 31, 2024).
