Digitize transport with the Satwork platform - Easy, efficient and safe
Data is one of every company`s greatest assets. Data is crucial if you want to improve your business, that is, certain business processes, to simplify, digitize and protect them.
Accurate and timely data is also crucial for compliance with certain legal regulations which regulate processes with the aim of increasing safety.
Today, with real-time data available, the challenges regarding the security of data transmission are greater, storage, their use and quality processing, and increasingly sophisticated requirements of companies that own data.
Digitization of transport services
The Satwork company from Banjaluka is a regional provider of services for monitoring and managing vehicle/machine/equipment fleets and their SatIRS™ platform collects, transmits and processes real-time location-based data.
The SatIRS™ platform integrates management software and analytical algorithms, providing the user with a comprehensive tool that enables companies to optimize the performance of their fleets and improve business processes.
Satwork, with its SatIRS™ system carries out the digital transformation of each of its clients` businesses, so that business processes from the domain of logistics and vehicle fleet management are digitized and those processes are managed using digital tools via the platform.
Satellite tracking is one of the ways of applying telemetry solutions, i.e. systems, for the transfer and exchange of data via wireless connection. It is carried out with the help of equipment consisting of hardware and software components which represents the core of the telemetry system because it connects the vehicle with the end user and reports on the position of the vehicle and driver, transmits information via a communication network to remote destinations and allows fleet owners to create reports and analyses. The system consists of a GNSS device (popularly known as a GPS device) located in a vehicle with antennas for GSM and GPS positioning, then the communication network based on 2G/3G/4G data transmission, by which the acquired data is transferred to the processing center where it is being processed and further marketed to clients via WEB technology.
The SatIRS™ system/platform enables two-way communication as well meaning that it is also possible to send data from the client`s monitoring/dispatch center to the vehicle, i.e. the driver (like messages, routes, instructions for turning off the vehicle, etc.).
Purpose-built solutions - SatTACHO™
Currently, due to the announced changes in the regulations regarding digital tachographs, ddd.file readings and strict control measures, the topic of safety, reliability and timeliness of data reading from digital tachographs is very current.
There are big challenges in the field, and from the Satwork company, with their SatTACHO™ system, they are ready to respond to all challenges and even be one step ahead.
SatIRS™ offers an efficient solution for the safe download of data from the memory of digital tachographs and driver cards transmitted via Internet Protocol.
SatTACHO™ is a complete and efficient solution that enables remote reading of .ddd files from tachographs and driver cards located in the tachograph slots. All information collected is sent to the SatIRS™ system, where they are processed and then delivered as a report to the user`s e-mail account in PDF/.ddd format.
This solution, in support of fleet dispatchers, reduces downtime, increases productivity and availability of the fleet.
Data from the driver card and digital tachograph memory can be downloaded and archived at any time from any place in Europe and the world.
The regulations mandate the obligation to archive and analyze that data for a period of at least one year after recording and, at the request of the competent authority, carriers are obliged to make them available for inspection at any time.
Automatic data processing and reports make it easier and faster to detect drivers in violation. If we detect violations in time, we will act more quickly towards increasing the responsibility of drivers and reduce the number of violations (including large fines for drivers and carriers).
What awaits us from January 1, 2025?
When the rules for the introduction of smart tachographs were adopted in 2014, no one thought that it would be only the first generation of smart tachographs.
As early as 2020, Regulation (EU) 2020/1054 of the European Parliament and the Council introduces the smart tachograph of the second generation, and defines the deadlines and obligations.
The imposition of fines for tachograph or driving time violations across Europe came into effect
- From now on, authorities in any EU member state can issue penalties for tachograph-related offenses regardless of where the violation was committed. Previously, penalties could only be imposed in the country where the violation was recorded.
Extension of the monitoring period from 28 to 56 days
- From January 1, 2025, traffic violations from the past 56 days will be covered instead of the previous 28 days. This enables more detailed monitoring of drivers` compliance with tachograph regulations.
Fines up to EUR 30,000
- Tachographs will automatically record time, mileage and location using the GNSS navigation system: every crossing of a national border within EU countries, any change in axle load, i.e. loading and unloading of cargo from the vehicle.
- Remote control of vehicle/tachograph in motion - supervisory bodies will in future, driving alongside a vehicle equipped with a smart tachograph, be able to remotely download data from the tachograph in just a few seconds and carry out inspection control.
- Non-compliance with deadlines, obligations and rules can result in severe and heavy penalties, including vehicle immobilization. Operators who do not comply with the rules face fines of up to EUR 30,000 and potentially a year in prison.
In accordance with their business model and plans for further business, clients should assess their needs and react in a timely manner.
Satwork is ready to provide its clients with a complete and high-quality service on the way to the digitization of transport.
